Women In Management (WIM), Malaysia Chapter recently decorated Princess Monalisa Okojie, CEO of Nehita Group of Companies, for her contributions towards the development of individuals across the globe.
The award ceremony which was held in Malaysia aimed to commend women of substance who have supported in empowering individuals across the globe to become better leaders and successful individuals in their respective endeavors.
The Chairman of Women In Business Management, Prof. Dr. Selvaraj Oyyan Pillay in a statement explained that the event which had in attendance participants from across the world was the high point of the Global Leadership Conference and top 50 professional and Career Women Awards 2024.
He said that Monalisa Okojie who is also the Founder and Executive Director of EXPOSE as well as Commonwealth Business Women (CBW) Africa Country Head for the USA has played a vital role in promoting economic empowerment and leadership opportunities for women across Africa.
It is interesting to note that Princess Okojie is passionate about fostering transformative leadership and building opportunities that uplift marginalised communities worldwide.
In her acceptance speech, Princess Okojie said, “I feel deeply honored and humbled to receive the Woman Personality of the Year award. This recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a testament to the collective efforts of everyone who has supported and believed in my vision and work.
“It inspires me to continue striving for excellence, empowering others, and making a meaningful impact in the community.
“This award reaffirms the importance of the work I do and motivates me to push forward with even greater passion and dedication.’’
In addition, she said that the award serves as a powerful source of motivation and responsibility to her, adding, “It reminds me that the work I do has a meaningful impact and encourages me to expand my efforts to reach even more individuals and communities.
“This recognition highlights the importance of empowering women, and using my platform to advocate for positive change. It pushes me to strive for greater innovation and collaboration in my initiatives, ensuring that I continue to create opportunities and inspire others to realise their potential.”
Chioma Umeha is a Health and Science Writer/Editor with Independent Newspapers Limited. She holds a M.A. degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies from Lagos State University, B.Sc. degree in Mass Communication from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. She is a multiple award winning journalist and has attended several local and international workshops/trainings. She is a member of the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Science and Public Health (SciPH) Journalism Group, Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, Journalists' Alliance for PMTCT in Nigeria, Health Writers Association of Nigeria (HEWAN) among others.
