Verstappen Seals Fourth F1 World Title In Las Vegas

November 24, (THEWILL) – Max Verstappen clinched his fourth consecutive Formula One world championship following the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where he finished fifth in an eventful race under the bright lights of Nevada.

The 27-year-old Dutch driver joins an exclusive group of racing legends including Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Juan Manuel Fangio, Sebastian Vettel, and Alain Prost who have achieved this remarkable milestone.

George Russell claimed victory for Mercedes, maintaining control from pole position to finish 7.313 seconds ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton, who demonstrated exceptional skill by advancing from his tenth-place starting position.

The Ferrari duo of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc completed the top four positions, while championship contender Lando Norris finished sixth.

Verstappen’s measured drive ensured his title triumph, despite Norris recording the fastest lap for an additional point.

The Red Bull champion celebrated over team radio, stating: “Oh my god what a season, four times, thank you guys. It’s a little more difficult than last year, but we pulled through. Thank you so much, guys.”

The race conditions proved favourable, with mild temperatures of 18 degrees recorded on both track and air measurements.

Russell demonstrated masterful control throughout, while Hamilton’s strategic pit stops and overtaking manoeuvres contributed to an impressive podium finish for Mercedes.
