This is Festus, the son of a devoted usher in OPM Church. Festus was originally among the 66 students sent to Turkey on the OPM University Overseas Scholarship, funded through tithes and offerings from OPM Church.
However, he made some mistakes and encountered challenges in his second year at the university and had to return to Nigeria, all the money I spent was lost.
Despite this, Festus demonstrated gratitude and loyalty during his time in Turkey, which inspired me to support him once again. Through my connections, I secured him an admission at the prestigious University of Science and Technology in China, where he will begin his studies again, fully funded by OPM’s tithes and offerings.
China, now a global leader in science and technology, offers incredible educational opportunities. With the advancements I observed during my recent visit there, I am confident that Festus will gain invaluable knowledge and skills.
Today, Festus, a bright and capable young man is embarking on a new journey in China. His potential is a gift, and I am determined to see it flourish.
Additionally, his younger brother is currently studying at ESM University on an OPM scholarship, and his sister is in her final year at Cyprus International University, also fully funded by the OPM University Scholarship. All three siblings’ educational journeys are made possible by the tithes and offerings from OPM Church.
This marks the first time that HRM King Apostle Chibuzor is using OPM’s funds to support a student in China. Over the years, we have sent students to the USA, Canada, UK, Poland, France, Cyprus, Ghana, Benin Republic, Dubai, and now, thanks to the new connections in China, we have added it to the list of destinations for OPM scholarships.
