Health informatics expert, Bolatito Adepoju has emphasised the critical role of data in addressing health challenges, particularly in vulnerable communities.
Adepoju stated that effectively harnessing data can lead to significant improvements in health outcomes and medical treatments.
Speaking at a media parley on Friday, she stressed the importance of leveraging data to enhance healthcare delivery and ensure alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3, which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages.
Reflecting on her professional journey, Adepoju noted her contributions to transformative public health projects in Nigeria, including collaborations with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Global Fund, and the World Bank to combat major health crises.
She revealed her involvement in initiatives to reduce dosing errors in children and improve malaria chemoprevention through digitised data collection systems.
“By streamlining data processes and empowering health workers, I have demonstrated the potential of data-driven interventions to transform health outcomes,” she said.
