Deputy Senate Minority Leader Backs Adeleke, Receives APC Defectors

The Deputy Minority Leader in the Senate, Lere Oyewumi, has said that the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has done enough to earn another term in office..

Oyewunmi, who is the lawmaker representing Osun West Senatorial District in the Senate, spoke yesterday in Ikire, Osun State, while receiving members of the All Progressives Congress from Irewole local government area, who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.

According to him, those that dumped APC took the decision to join PDP, having observed various achievements of Adeleke in less than two years of him being in government.

He said more people would join the ruling party in the state from other local government areas in Osun West, thus increasing the chances of the incumbent governor in the 2026 governorship election.
