In a major step toward Africa’s economic integration, the Africa Talks Business and Investment Forum (ATBIF) will convene in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from November 6 to 8, 2024.
As part of the Africa Celebrates 2024 initiative, ATBIF promises to gather influential leaders in business, policy, and investment under one roof at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and African Union Headquarters.
With the compelling theme: “Re-imagining the African Dream of Integration with AfCFTA as an Enabler,” the forum underscores the transformative power of the AfCFTA in bringing African nations closer through trade and economic resilience.
Key government officials, industry leaders, and global investors will come together at ATBIF to discuss cross-border initiatives and infrastructural projects critical for Africa’s future.
At the heart of the forum is a shared commitment to accelerating investments in essential sectors like agriculture, transportation, renewable energy, and technology. Roads, railways, airports, and energy projects—particularly those focused on sustainability—will be in focus as drivers for long-term economic strength and independence.
Through such initiatives, ATBIF seeks to empower African economies to become self-sufficient and foster a continent that competes on the global stage.
The forum’s importance is further underscored by the participation of trade and industry ministers from five African countries, demonstrating the event’s role as a powerhouse for economic growth. Africa Celebrates 2024, organized by Legendary Gold Limited and Mayalz Events, brings together a broad coalition of supporters.
The African Union and UNECA co-host, while Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alongside embassies from Nigeria, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, and the U.S. to the African Union, have all backed the event.
The Pan-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ethiopian Airlines, the official carrier offering discounts for attendees, are also on board.
