Gunmen have reportedly attacked and killed unspecified number of policemen in Ohafia local government area of Abia state.
Blueprint gathered that the tragic incident occurred in Ebem, Asaga area at about 7:30 am on Wednesday.
According to reports, sources said the area has been deserted as residents scampered for safety.
This is coming few days after gunmen ambushed and attacked police officers killing an inspector who was providing security for a federal lawmaker, Hon Ginger Onwusibe.
Meanwhile, the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, is yet to comment on the unfortunate incident on Wednesday.
