Qatar charity distributes food palliative to 238 Orphans in Yobe

The Qatar Charity organization in partnership with Yobe state government has Tuesday distributed food items to 238 orphans across the 17 local government area of Yobe state.

The food palliative includes; rice, beans, pasta, spaghetti, semovita, suger and oil respectively.

The assistant social affairs officer, Qatar Charity organization, Abdulrahaman Mohammed Isa, said 238 beneficiaries are those benefiting from Qatar Charity organization sponsorship in education and living expenses in the state.

He stated that, “Due to restrictions from the international transfer, we decided to give the orphans some palliative to encourage them and meet our criteria to make sure that every thing go on smoothly”.

He called on the orphans caregivers not to sell the food items given to them, as food stuff is something that every one needs.

Presenting the food items to the beneficiaries, Governor Mai Mala Buni, said it is part of the state responsibilities to all humanity.

Represented by the permanent secretary, public service, Abdulkarim Mai Bade, Buni stated that recently the state sponsored over 100 orphans complete their education in Hassan Gwarzo secondary school in Kano.

In his brief remarks, state Coordinator, Qatar Charity Foundation and Special Adviser to Yobe State Governor on religious affairs, Ustaz Babagana Kyari, said this is one of the initiative Buni who care much about the orphans in the state.

“Governor Buni’s effort towards assisting orphans and less privilege persons in the state is comendable.

“Buni supported over 1700 orphans with food stuff and Cash assistance in quarterly basis in the state,” he said.
