LAGOS – The Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), the umbrella body of all employers in the private sector in the country has conferred Mr. Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development with the award of ‘’Visible Impact in Public Service.’
A statement by Mr. Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications Keyamo, said that the minister was honoured with the award over the weekend.
The statement hinted that the event was an annual excellence award celebrating exceptional contributions to national development and public service.
The award, presented at a grand ceremony, recognised Keyamo’s significant strides in the aviation and aerospace sector.
Moshood stated that since assuming office, Keyamo had implemented transformative policies, including enhancing infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and fostering international partnerships to strengthen Nigeria’s aviation ecosystem.
Mrs. Janet Oputa, the Special Assistant to the minister, collected the award on behalf of the minister.
In her remarks, she conveyed the minister’s gratitude to NECA for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to driving sustainable growth and innovation in the sector.
She said: “The Honourable Minister is deeply honoured by this recognition and remains resolute in his mission to reposition Nigeria’s aviation industry as a global standard. He dedicates this award to the hardworking teams in the ministry and all stakeholders who share in this vision.”
The audience lauded Keyamo’s achievements, emphasising the positive impact of his leadership on Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace landscape.
His efforts to promote transparency, improve service delivery, and create an enabling environment for stakeholders had not gone unnoticed, the statement added.
