BENIN – Respite for members of staff and students of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, as the Edo State governor, Monday Okpebholo as part of his electioneering promises to ease transportation on campus provided a luxury bus to convey university workers and students around the institution.
This development is the Okpebholo administration’s efforts to address the transportation challenges faced by the university community.
While confirming the gift in a telephone interview with newsmen, the Public Relations Officer, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Otunba Mike Ade Aladenika, expressed appreciation to the governor, saying that it is a welcome development.
“This is a pointer to the fact that our dear governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, knows the pains of his people and is well-positioned to address them.
“Even when we know that this is the beginning of good things to come to our University, we want to thank the people’s governor from the bottom of our hearts for alleviating our transportation challenges.
” it’s no longer enjoyable coming to work these days, considering the biting economic hardship we are facing. But for the governor’s intervention and provision of a luxury bus to workers, we salute his commitment to excellence in providing leadership and good governance,” he said.
