Lanre Ajayi’s remarkable journey begins in Poka, Epe, where a strong sense of community and ambition shaped his early years. With a background in education and a degree from the University of Ilorin, he embarked on a career that seamlessly merged culture, entrepreneurship, and social impact.
Starting as Head of Marketing at Terra Kulture in 2014, Lanre propelled the brand into a cultural hub, driving high-profile events and new ventures. His adaptability during the pandemic led to the founding of Lanre Buttercream Bakery, demonstrating his entrepreneurial flair.
Beyond Terra Kulture, Lanre’s influence extends into film and theatre, contributing to productions like Fela and the Kalakuta Queens, Saro the Musical, and 93 Days. As Film Village Manager and logistics lead on major projects, his work earned acclaim on international platforms, including the installation of African monuments at the Burning Man Festival.
A co-founder of Terra Academy for the Arts (TAFTA), Lanre’s vision has empowered over 23,000 young Nigerians, particularly women and underserved communities. Through partnerships like the one with Mastercard Foundation, TAFTA stands as a beacon for creative education in Nigeria.
Approaching his 40th birthday, Lanre Ajayi continues to inspire, with his legacy firmly rooted in cultural innovation, economic transformation, and the empowerment of future generations.
