The Katsina Government has partnered with the National Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) Zaria, to train students at the state’s Youth Craft Centre on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion .

Alhaji Kabir Abdullahi, the Coordinator of the centre, told newsmen in Katsina, on Tuesday, that partnership aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

According to him, the partnership will help to alleviate the transportation costs that Nigerians are facing due to the removal of fuel subsidies.

He added that the collaboration also supports the initiative of Gov. Dikko Radda towards empowering youths and promoting self-reliance among them.

Abdullahi said that, “once the collaboration begins, the Craft Village will be the first centre in northern states to train youth in CNG conversion.

“The programme will also provide training for other technicians in this field.

“Before the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between us and the Institute from Zaria, their delegation visited our facilities and expressed their satisfaction before we reached an agreement.”

He reaffirmed the commitment of Radda’s administration, as well as that of the centre, to collaborate with various stakeholders to develop the state’s technological sector and promote self-reliance among youth. (NAN)
