The countdown to the highly anticipated Fanfaro Autofest 2024 has officially begun, as organizers unveiled the event theme, “Battles of Champions,” at a press conference in Lagos on October 23.
The event will take place on December 8, 2024, at the TCTC Eleyele, Ibadan, this year’s Autofest promises an exhilarating showcase of automotive excellence, competition, and entertainment.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Olanrewaju Adekunle, the Managing Director of Fanfaro Autofest, said, “We are excited to bring the ‘Battles of Champions’ theme to life, creating a vibrant atmosphere where automotive passion meets competitive spirit. “Battle of Champions” is all about the drifters coming to battle it out and crown one champion.
“Fanfaro Autofest 2024 will be a celebration of the automotive culture in Nigeria, and we invite everyone to join us for an unforgettable experience.”
He stated that, “Fanfaro Autofest 2024 will create an unusual entertainment experience for the people, adding “it is an event that brings drivers from all over the world to Nigeria.
Adekunle described the event as the “Champions League when it comes to drifting in West Africa. We have the best drivers come and compete; also we have the best drivers in Nigeria and Africa come and compete in the event.”
According to the Managing Director of Fanfaro Autofest, this year’s event will feature champions of the past editions in line with the theme “Battle of Champions”.
He said that the event will contribute to the automotive industry, Ibadan, Oyo State and the Nigerian economy at large.
He stated that Fanfaro Autofest will give back to the community through charitable activities and initiatives, adding, “We believe in making a positive impact, and this year, we’re collaborating with local organizations to support important causes.”
Fanfaro Autofest has earned the reputation as one of Nigeria’s premier automotive events, attracting car enthusiasts, industry leaders, and families from across the country. This year’s theme, “Battles of Champions,” reflects a spirit of rivalry and celebration, highlighting top automotive brands and their latest innovations.
Attendees should expect an action-packed day featuring thrilling competitions, including car displays, drag races, and custom showcases. There will be live entertainment, food stalls, and opportunities for networking among industry professionals.
The lineup for Fanfaro Autofest “Battles of Champions” the fest will kick-off on day one with a welcome and unveiling session for drifters coming from South Africa, Estonia, Lebanon, Egypt, Ghana and other guests.
On day two, drifters and bikers will assemble at the drift arena for a final car and ground check ahead of the main competition. In a case of mechanical issues, drift unworthy cars will be disqualified by the jury.
This year’s event will feature the past champions participating and competing for an ultimate prize of N10 million worth of prizes. Over 100 power bikers and local stunters will participate in the event and it is expected to create an unforgettable experience with electrifying performances featuring three renowned A-list artistes, comedians and celebrity influencers.
