The chairman New Niger Development Project (NNDP), Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar-Bida, has said Governor Umaru Bago is fully committed to transforming the state into a world-class model.
Abubakar-Bida, who is also the Sarkin Dawaki Nupe, stated this in an interview with journalists in Minna on Wednesday.
“This is evident in the way and manner he has been diligently handling the affairs of the state from May 2023 to date.
“He has been initiating countless policies and programmes aimed at further propelling the state to greater heights,” he said.
According to the chairman, Bago has embarked on various developmental projects aimed at evenly transforming Niger.
He listed some of these tangible and laudable projects, including several road networks across the state.
“These projects are aimed at linking all parts of the state with the other parts of Nigeria.
“This is with the view to bolstering the socioeconomic development of the state to boost its prosperity and that of the citizens,” he said.
Abubakar-Bida further said that the projects included those on water supply, education, health and various key infrastructures.
He said that Bago administration would initiate more projects and complete them strongly.
“Bago is committed to boosting the economy of the state and diversifying its revenue base. He has been giving agriculture the priority attention it deserves.
“This has stabilised the state’s food security, combating hunger, poverty and unemployment,” he said.
