85th National Senate Sitting: NANS Lauds Bayelsa State’s Warm Hospitality, Successful Event

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Senate Secretariat, under the distinguished leadership of Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, the President of the Senate, has expressed gratitude to the Bayelsa State government for the successful hosting of its just concluded 85th National Senate Sitting.

The President of the Senate of NANS praised the magnanimity of His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State for his contributions to the success of the National Senate Sitting.

Akinteye said, “This epoch sitting is a convergence of vibrant Comrades, sound minds, the torchbearers of the Nigerian student community, and of course the future of the country.

“It thrills us at the level of NANS to have witnessed an unprecedented success owing to the immeasurable support of the Bayelsa State government.

“We acknowledge and deeply appreciate the commendable hospitality extended to the NANS delegation from across the country. This gesture demonstrates the state’s readiness to collaborate with Nigerian students and also reflects the state’s understanding of the critical roles students play in shaping the nation.

“No doubt, the 85th National Senate Sitting of NANS will be remembered as a milestone gathering where critical national issues were deliberated and resolutions were made for the benefit of students nationwide.

“This success would not have been possible without the generous support, infrastructural preparedness, and strategic foresight of the Bayelsa State government. These acts reiterate your commitment to fostering an enabling environment for youth engagement and active participation in nation-building.”

According to him, Governor Douye Diri’s administration has, once again, accentuated the value of impactful governance by facilitating a platform where voices of the student populace could resonate, saying the seamless collaboration between the association and the Bayelsa State government exemplifies the power of unity and the transformative impact of our shared goals for development.

He added, “On this note, on behalf of NANS, we extend our warmest appreciation to Governor Douye Diri, the Bayelsa State Executive Council, and every individual whose dedication contributed to the resounding success of the 85th Senate sitting.
