Yobe Donates N50m To Jigawa Tanker Explosion Victims

DAMATURU – Yobe State Government has donated the sum of N50 million to support the victims of the recent fuel tanker explosion in Majiya town, Taura local government area of Jigawa state.

The Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF), Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, led a delegation of Northern Governors to Jigawa state to express condolences and solidarity with the victims over the unfortunate incident.

Governor Mai Mala Buni was represented by his Deputy Idi Barde Gubana.

During the visit, Governor Inuwa Yahaya announced that each Governor would donate N50 million to support the victims and their families.

Governor Yahaya emphasized the collective responsibility of the Northern Governors in supporting Jigawa during this tragic time, praising the resilience of the affected families.

“This is a time for solidarity, and we stand with the people of Jigawa in their time of need,” he remarked.

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State expressed deep gratitude for the generosity and support, noting that the financial contributions would provide much-needed relief for the victims.
