The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in Nigeria has confirmed its plans to conduct the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2024 – Second Series, scheduled from Friday, October 25, to Friday, December 20, 2024.

In a statement signed by Moyosola Adesina, the Council’s spokesperson, it was revealed that the examination will utilise a hybrid delivery mode.

This approach means that candidates will answer objective or multiple-choice questions directly on the screen, while essay and practical questions will also appear on-screen, but responses must be submitted using the provided answer booklets.

Furthermore, the examination will offer candidates the choice to use a traditional Paper and Pen mode for all papers if preferred.

The Council has extended the registration deadline for all prospective candidates to Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Additionally, candidates can take advantage of the “Walk-in Candidate” option, which allows them to register up to 24 hours before their chosen examination paper.

The complete timetable for the examination can be downloaded from the WAEC Nigeria website at https://www.waecnigeria.org.

All candidates, both intending and registered, are encouraged to utilise the various learning resources available through the Council.

These resources include access to the WAEC e-Study platform at https://estudy.ng, the option to purchase WAEC Past Questions and Answers books, and participation in discussions with fellow candidates on the WAECKonnect platform at https://www.waeckonnect.com.

WAEC wishes all candidates the best of luck in their upcoming examinations. The Council remains committed to fulfilling its mandate by leveraging technological innovations to enhance accessibility for all stakeholders.
