A suspect arrested for various crimes has revealed that he was asked to buy an AK-47 rifle to buy AK-47 to become cult group’s number one in Vikings confraternity.

In a viral video posted on SP Bright Edafe’s X account on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the suspect explained that he was caught while trying to buy the rifle for N1.3 million.

He previously engaged in internet fraud, known as “Yahoo Yahoo,” and said his descent into crime started with bad influences from friends.

He explained that moving from online scams to violent crimes happened slowly. As he made less money from internet fraud, he looked for other ways to support his lifestyle.

This led him to join a cult, where he has been for six years, hoping to gain power and respect among his peers.

During a police operation, he was arrested while negotiating to buy the AK-47. He shared that the leaders of the cult required him to have an assault rifle to move up in rank within the group.

The suspect said, “My name is Amadasu Victor. I was arrested because I wanted to buy the AK-47. I was asked to buy the AK-47 because I was going for number one in the Vikings. I was arrested in a hotel while I was negotiating to buy the rifle for N1.3 million.”

He added, “I have a car wash that I manage, and I also do internet fraud. I trick old women, lying to them on the internet that I love them. Sometimes, they send me eight million. I have been in this fraternity for six years.”

The police are now investigating the wider network of people involved in the Vikings confraternity and other cult groups to stop more violence and crime in the community.
