The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the rescheduling of its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting originally set for October 24, 2024, to November 28, 2024.

This decision was made during an enlarged meeting of the PDP Governors’ Forum, led by Governor Bala Mohammed, which took place at the Bauchi State Governors’ Lodge on Tuesday night.

The postponement aims to bolster the party’s unity and strength as it prepares for the upcoming gubernatorial elections in Ondo State on November 16, 2024.

The PDP aims to leverage this opportunity to unseat the current All Progressives Congress (APC) government in the state.

In the communiqué issued following the meeting, the governors emphasized the importance of solidarity among party members, urging them to refrain from divisive rhetoric that could weaken the PDP’s efforts to consolidate its position as the main opposition party ahead of the 2027 elections.
