The Ukraine National Security and Defence Council on Friday placed a restriction on the use of the social media app, Telegram in government agencies, military formations, and critical infrastructure facilities.
Citing “threats” to national security on the app founded by Russian-born Pavel Durov, the Defence Council said it is a matter of national security.

The statement posted on its Facebook page reads, “The National Security and Defence Council decided to restrict the use of Telegram in government agencies, military formations and critical infrastructure facilities.”
It added it was a “matter of national security.”
