Troops arrest three suspected terrorist informants in Taraba

Troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, arrested three suspected terrorist informants in Taraba State.

The Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Captain Olubodunde Oni, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Jalingo.

Oni said the operation was carried out with precision and intelligence on October 15 at Landey Jessy village of Lau local government area of the state.

He said: “The success was achieved by acting on intelligence reports of some bandits in the Kona Range of Mountains, which cut across Jalingo and Lau Local Government Area.

“The troops conducted operations around the general area, which led to the arrest of three suspected collaborators names withheld.

“During the investigation, one of the suspects confessed that his residence was used for hiding the terrorists’ weapons after operations.

”The suspects are currently in our custody undergoing further investigation.”
