Sharaf Ayo Adewale, a social commentator and author who wrote the book ‘The Blood Stained Flag’ has said that the book was written to expose the greedy nature of Nigerian leaders and their readiness to stop any movement that will liberate the oppressed masses by any means.

Adewale while addressing newsmen in Lagos at the weekend on his books ‘The Blood Stained Flag’ and the ‘ABC of Justice Okwobi’s panel report’,said that the book was written to open the eyes of people to know more about the peaceful nature of the protest that Nigerian leader and Lagos state government invited armed soldiers to interfere in.

He said apart from the fact that the writing of the book came from the poem ‘The Blood Stained Flag’ that he composed on that Tuesday night of October 20, 2020, a day that will live in infamy in the history of Nigeria;

“It was also informed by an earnest desire that I have had for years to ensure that justice is always given to everyone who deserves it at every point in time.

He said in the history of Nigeria, the month of October is very significant, that it is month that every Nigerians holds in high regards because it was the month Nigeria, former colony of the British Government became an independent nation.

He however said that since year 2020, the month of October has become significant in another dimension which is bloodshed.
