Atlanta Olympic gold medalist, Abiodun Olugbemiga Obafemi, has expressed his disappointment with the commitment displayed by some Super Eagles players.

Obafemi made this known on the backdrop of Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Rwanda in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Monday in Uyo.

In a chat with Brila FM, the ex-international frowned at how some players always fail to give their best in the national team.

“We expected so much from these guys based on their performances with their clubs, but when they come to Nigeria, they do what they cannot in their teams.

“It’s a very big concern. They must be competitive. I don’t understand why they are selecting games,” the 50-year-old said in an interview with Brila.
