The Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) would secure a landslide victory in the September 28 local council election in the state.

Soludo spoke at the APGA mega rally held on Saturday in Awka.

He noted that only APGA fielded candidates for all 21 chairmanship and 326 councillorship positions out of the nine political parties taking part in the election.

“APGA is fully prepared for the elections, and I assure you, there is no opposition or competition to challenge us,” the governor stated.

He urged the people of the state to vote en masse for APGA and promised a transparent election.

The APGA National Chairman, Sly Ezeokenwa, highlighted Anambra’s 18 years of progress under the party and urged voters to ensure continue supporting the party.

In his remarks, the party’s former National Chairman, Victor Oye, described the candidates as men and women of integrity who would work for the people.

A symbolic presentation of the party flag was made to the chairmanship and ward councillorship candidates.
