LAGOS – Sed Properties, an exceptional real estate company founded by Mr. Solomon Ezekiel Diri, a distinguished real estate developer, has partnered with the Oyo State Government to launch an ambitious housing initiative.

This collaboration aims to address the increasing demand for affordable housing in the state and aligns with the government’s broader agenda to enhance citizens’ quality of life through sustainable housing solutions.

The Oyo State Housing Corporation, under the leadership of its Chairman, Demola Omotosho, has been at the forefront of the state’s housing initiatives.

During a recent press briefing in Ibadan, Omotosho highlighted the corporation’s dedication to its primary mission of providing affordable and quality housing. “If you look at the history of the corporation, housing has always been our core responsibility. We’ve initiated a new project to construct affordable homes in all our estates across the state, starting with the capital city, Ibadan,” he remarked.

This partnership is set to launch a series of transformative projects, beginning with the construction of 2,500 housing units in Ajoda New Town. Ajoda, a well-planned community situated near Ibadan, has been identified as the starting point for this large-scale development due to its strategic location and existing infrastructure.

Ajoda New Town connects to key transportation hubs, including the circular road and the Ladoke Akintola International Airport, making it a prime location for residential and economic activities. The project is expected to be completed within 12 months after the Governor lays its foundation, underscoring the government’s resolve to deliver results swiftly.

The Chairman also emphasized the corporation’s vision of blending affordability with modern amenities.

“Our goal is to create homes that meet the needs of different income groups while ensuring that all projects are built to international standards,” Omotosho explained.

The partnership between Sed Properties and the Oyo State Government represents a significant step toward reducing the housing deficit in the state. By leveraging the expertise of Sed Properties and the resources of the state government, this initiative aims to set a new standard for public-private partnerships in housing development.
