The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (lPMAN) has disclosed that it arrested a truck loaded with crude oil and handed it over to the Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt for further action.
Making the disclosure to Blueprint Thursday in Port Harcourt, the IPMAN coordinator of Rivers and Bayelsa states, Mukta Mamuda, said the truck with registration number T 21932 LA was intercepted by IPMAN, but that the drivers absconded.
When contacted, the acting deputy director, 6 Division, Army Public Relations, Lt.-Col. Danjuma Jonah Danjuma, said there was no issue as it concerned the impounded truck.
He said the movement of the vehicles and the products were legitimate with the entire necessary authorisation.
