The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South West, Hon Adedeji Olajide, Monday, advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership to put aside its differences and work together for victory in the 2027 general elections.

The lawmaker gave the advice in Ibadan in a chat with journalists following the governorship election in Edo state which the PDP lost to the All Progressives Congress (APC) last Saturday.

Olajide maintained that the time had come for the PDP to close ranks and unite ahead of other future elections in the country, particularly, the 2027 general elections.

He pointed out that there was no doubting the fact that PDP lost Edo state election due to internal bickering within the PDP ranks in the state, adding that unity was crucial for the party’s success in subsequent elections.

According to Hon Olajide, the time had come for the PDP to learn from past mistakes and move forward with a united front as the 2027 general elections approach.

“Unity is a necessary and strategic tool needed to strengthen the party’s position and ensure a more cohesive approach to future elections”, he said

Hon Olajide added, “The PDP’s ability to put aside internal differences and present a united front will be crucial in determining the success of the party in future polls”.
