A member of the House of Representatives from Gummi/Bukkuyum Federal Constituency of Zamfara State, Sulaiman Abubakar, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, read the lawmaker’s defection letter at Wednesday’s plenary in Abuja.
Abubakar said he quit the PDP over the unresolved crisis in the state chapter of the party.
According to him, the party has two chairmen in his constituency.
The letter read: “One was unconstitutionally removed while the other decamped with me.
“Hence, the party lacks structure in my constituency and this has made it impossible for me to provide good representation and prompt delivery of dividends of democracy to my constituency.”
