Food grains have vanished from millions of poor households. Government economic experts believe the disappearance of food grains in poor homes is gain for the economy. Why are the President and his economic experts deceiving Nigerians?
The loss to poor Nigerians is gain for corrupt political leaders. These leaders are deft in winning over to their side those with the records of their sordid past. It is heartbreaking to hear the President tell Nigerians that the economy has done well, whereas the people are soaked in hunger.
In my view, politics in Nigeria is nothing but a racket to steal money. Year in, year out, during election time you see politicians working feverishly, not to serve but to pursue wealth. We are still searching for a messiah.
