The reality TV personality Josephine Otabor, fondly known as Phyna, has said that she is removing her last name due to a lack of ties to her family.
The 2022 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show winner bemoaned having “no family” and still seeking answers regarding her history in a post via X on Thursday.
The reality star claimed to be having emotional difficulties, feeling disoriented and unsure of her present circumstances.
“I am publicly dropping my family surname OTABOR… it has been proven that I actually have no family and nobody knows how I came about,” she wrote.
“I’m still searching for answers though… it’s been rough with me lately…… I’m in a place where I can’t even describe how I feel or what to call what I’m going through rn. Going up and the way I was toss around relative I should suspected but guess I was too young… omo my head wan tear!!!!!!”
The change follows a well-publicized argument with her family the previous year. An interview was granted by Phyna’s father, who said that his daughter had stopped answering their calls.
A social media controversy was sparked by the reality star’s response to the accusations.
