LAGOS – The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ifako-Ijaye Province, has officially inaugurated new executives for its eight chapters.
The ceremony, held at The Truth Christian’s Mission in Abule-Egba, Lagos, was marked by calls for unity, responsibility and faithfulness in leadership.
The newly inaugurated chapter chairmen are Rev Kuti Y. A. Immanuel, Iju Chapter; Rev Kingsman Okpoto, Oko Oba Chapter; Bishop Dr Peter Oloye, Ojokoro Chapter; Apostle Victor Ajufoh, Oke – Ira Chapter, and Pastor Adeleke Adelowo, Obawole Chapter.
Others included Rev Daniel Somoye, Ifako Chapter; Pastor Arthur Paul Nwafena, Abule-Egba Chapter, and Pastor Bamidele Olasupo, Alakuko Chapter.
Rev. Simon Okpanachi, the Vice Chairman of PFN Ifako-Ijaye Province, delivered the keynote address on behalf of the Province Chairman, Pastor Paul Adeyemo, who also officiated at the event.
Speaking on the theme, ‘A New Dawn’, Rev. Okpanachi emphasised teamwork and collaboration as essential for building sustainable progress in the chapters.
Drawing lessons from Nehemiah chapter 1, and 1 Corinthians chapter 12, he numerated four key areas for the executives to focus on. These are accepting responsibility.
“Carrying a portfolio without responsibility is meaningless. Responsibility makes us accountable,” he said.
He urged them to pursue the same goal, citing Numbers chapter 11 verse 6, and Acts chapter 4 verse 32. He urged the leaders to align their vision with the New Dawn vision of the State Chairman, avoiding division and personal sentiments.
Another focus he mentioned was ‘Team Spirit’. He stressed that no one can succeed in isolation, stressing that unity among members is crucial for progress.
Finally, Rev. Okpanachi reminded the executives that stewardship requires faithfulness and accountability to both God and man.
In the acceptance speech, Rev. Kuti Y. A. Immanuel, Chairman of PFN, Iju Chapter, who spoke on behalf of the other inaugurated executives, assured the audience of their commitment to the New Dawn vision and their dedication to following the rules and directives of the state’s PFN leadership.
The event brought together prominent leaders of the Christian community. They include Rev. Prince Obed Ezeonye, Senior Pastor of Excellent Glory Christian Centre, and Rev. Alfred Shoyemi, the immediate-past Province Chairman.
Others are Prophet Dayo Ojo, the Province General Secretary; Pastor Akanmu O Moses, Province Treasurer, and Rev Chris Itobiye, the Province Financial Secretary.
