The imperial majesty, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi has described the Aare crown as a special crown from God that whoever prays through it, such a person would experience unexpected fortune.

The Monarch made this known on Thursday at a press briefing to herald the 2024 Oloojo festival in his palace at Ile-Ife, Osun State.

He said the Aare crown is a crown that comes out once a year during the Oloojo festival alone, ( The New Down) and this only be found in Ile-Ife, not elsewhere.

“Any tourists who are coming to witness the festival should pray to God through the crown such a person will enjoy prosperity and abundant blessings from Eledumare.

“I had prayed through the crown before now three times and my prayer requests were answered, in that case it shows that the crown is not an ordinary crown.
“Oloojo festival is a festival celebrated by the single largest race in the world that’s the Yoruba people. But many things are linked to us from beautiful names, culture and heritage, we are about two hundred and fifty million people up to Brazil, the Caribbean, part of Niger State and Ilorin in Nigeria.”

He further said Oloojo is the first festival for the year, where the Aare crown is being worn by him.

“It is the Aare crown that gave birth to all other crowns in the world. The crown also carries all the colours of the rainbow. It also has the four corners of the world on it. The back of the crown is the first down to be discovered by the Pathfinder deity called ‘Ogun’

“This is a bigger celebration for the year after we are done with the Ifa celebration in June. Oloojo is the beginning of the new year. It’s the festival that heralds yam festival all over the world. It’s is the period when bountiful harvests are being expected from the farmers.”

This is the time when bitter cola comes out, it’s only in Yoruba land that will have a thirteen-full moon circle. The white has twelve calendar months, Its the period when the crown comes out to bless people and the crown itself has life in it.

“For us in Yoruba land and Ile-Ife we still uphold our heritage, where we celebrate the first down and it’s during the festival that the crown comes out for blessings.
“Since immemorial the crown chooses its weather whenever it comes out during the Oloojo festival, it has a very strong connection to every weather, the crown doesn’t see the atmosphere except once a year.

“The crown does everything human beings do, it’s spiritual and sacred. The crown comes out for prosperity and to bless people. This is my ninth year on the throne going to be tenth, I have heard the testimonies concerning what has come through the crown. Whatever I tell God almighty through the crown he does it for me.
“It is our strong heritage and we will continue to uphold it forever.

“We are not idol worshipers. This is heritage our ancestors left for us, it’s our heritage we are going to appreciate it forever. The monarch also used the occasion to thank the sponsors of the festival, which includes: Seaman Scheanap, Andron Homes, Nigeria Breweries and Justrite store.”
