The Managing Director of Powell Homes and Shelters Limited, Architect Chibuikem Onyekachi, has commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State for approving a minimum wage increase. Governor Mbah recently approved a sum of 80,000 Naira as the new minimum wage for Enugu workers.
Addressing newsmen in Enugu over the weekend, Architect Onyekachi described the gesture as one that shows the Governor understands the struggles of Enugu workers, adding that it will boost their morale and work ethic. He called on the workers to reciprocate Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s goodwill by showing greater dedication in their roles and helping to advance the state.
According to him, increased commitment from the workers would help to reinforce the Governor’s efforts toward improving the state’s economy and public service. He expressed hope that this development would encourage workers to invest in their own professional growth and take pride in their contributions to the state.
“The Governor’s approval of the new minimum wage is a sign of his dedication to improving the lives of Enugu’s workers,” Architect Onyekachi remarked. “I believe this will inspire them to work even harder, knowing that their well-being is being prioritized.”
