A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Honourable Jimoh Akeem has said that the victory of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the Saturday’s governorship election in the state was victory for the entire people of the state.
Hon Akeem in a congratulatory message said the people of Ondo State have made a good choice by electing Aiyedatiwa as the Governor.
He said the victory of Aiyedatiwa will bring about unprecedented development in the state as the Governor’s developmental strides since assumption of office have turned the state around.
Akeem who was a former Senior Legislative Assistant to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila hailed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the credible manner at which the election was conducted.
He said the election was free, fair and devoid of manipulations often attributed to elections in Nigeria.
Aside, he said the election was generally peaceful across all the polling centres in the state.
“It’s worth noting that Ondo State has a history of electoral tensions, making this peaceful outcome was significant. The state’s ability to conduct a peaceful election marks a positive development in its democratic experience,” he said.
He urged the people of the state to give all necessary support to Governor Aiyedatiwa for him to perform optimally.
