The Minister of Education, Mr Tunji Alausa, has called on the National Library of Nigeria (NLN) to look forward to youth inclusion and the deployment of technology and big data to ensure effective lifelong learning and education for all Nigerians.
Highlighting the library’s role in the commemoration of its 60th anniversary as the preserver of the nation’s information and cultural heritage and a promoter of lifelong learning, the Minister said it plays a significant role in building Nigeria’s Knowledge Economy.
He urged all stakeholders to work towards ensuring that the apex library becomes “not only a repository of Nigeria’s history but also a driving force in shaping the future”.
