The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has appreciated the Bayelsa state governor, Douye Diri, for creating an enabling environment for youth engagement in the state.

The statement, according to NANS, is in appreciation of the recently concluded NANS 85th senate sitting held in Bayelsa State.
NANS stated that the Bayelsa government had demonstrated the state’s readiness to collaborate with Nigerian students and also a reflection of the state’s understanding of the critical roles students play in shaping the nation.

“The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Senate Secretariat, under the distinguished leadership of Dist. Sen. Akinteye Babatunde Afeez (BABTEE), the President of the Senate, extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Bayelsa State led by His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, for graciously hosting the 85th National Senate Sitting.
