LP Refutes NLC Claims, Denies Alleged Ties To APC

The Labour Party (LP) has strongly refuted allegations made by the Nigeria Labour Congress Political Commission (NLC-PC) that its leadership, under Julius Abure, is working to further the interests of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, made this clarification on Friday in Abuja.

Ifoh addressed the claims, which surfaced after a recent court ruling affirming Julius Abure as the national chairman of the LP.

According to Ifoh, some individuals have been pushing a false narrative suggesting that the LP’s legal victories are due to its alignment with the APC.

He described these claims as misleading, mischievous, and part of a calculated attempt to distract and discredit the leadership of the party.

Ifoh emphasized that the Labour Party remains critical of the APC and reiterated that the NLC has failed Nigerian workers.

He asserted that the LP has been more vocal against the ruling party than the NLC itself.

The Labour Party continues to stand firm in its mission to represent the interests of the Nigerian people and workers, as it fights to maintain its political autonomy.
