Hon Yusuf Ado Kibiya
KANO – The Chairman of the Kano Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Yusuf Ado Kibiya on Monday outlined his vision for a brighter future for the party.
Kibiya in his maiden press conference since he was elected to office last month listed his priorities to include “enhancing the democratic process, identifying credible leaders, and developing a comprehensive ten-year development program for Kano State.”
Yusuf Kibiya further emphasized the importance of collective effort in building a responsive, transparent, and accountable government, as he called on members to join hands in the arduous task.
He said “The ten-year development program will be developed in collaboration with professionals from various fields and will reflect the needs and aspirations of Kano State citizens.”
Kibiya, similarly pledged to address the crisis of leadership, institutional relationships, and social, educational, religious, and economic issues affecting the party.
The PDP Chairman, however, vowed to uphold high standards of discipline and accountability within the party, as he promised to create an environment where excellence is expected.
The new PDP chairman criticized the federal and state governments for their poor performance in critical areas such as the economy, education, healthcare, security, and social services.
He lamented the destruction of established economic infrastructures and the misallocation of public funds.
