The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has refuted claims circulating on social media regarding the alleged murder of Miss Priscilla Ocheme by her boyfriend, Mr. Ekhosuehi Iseh Elvis, also known as Richard.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has refuted claims circulating on social media regarding the alleged murder of Miss Priscilla Ocheme by her boyfriend, Mr. Ekhosuehi Iseh Elvis, also known as Richard.
In a press release issued on Tuesday the police confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and urged the public to be patient as they work to uncover the full details of the case.
According to the release, the suspect, 30-year-old Ekhosuehi Iseh Elvis from Oredo-Benin, Edo State, was questioned by FCT police operatives on 24th September 2024. Preliminary investigations revealed that Ekhosuehi met Priscilla while they were students at Madonna University and remained close friends, even after losing contact for some years. They reconnected in 2019 when Ekhosuehi came to Abuja for his youth service.
The press statement also clarified that on 22nd September, Priscilla, following a minor disagreement with her mother, left her family home in Karu and went to Ekhosuehi’s residence in Lugbe to cool off. Later that day, after leaving his residence, Priscilla was tragically involved in a motorcycle accident at the Amala Moore junction in Pyakasa. Two laborers working nearby, Jerry Amos and Moses Bala, witnessed the accident and rushed her to the Pyakasa Health Centre for treatment. She was subsequently referred to the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, where she was declared dead by the attending doctor.
Addressing the allegations of foul play, the FCT Police Command emphasized that it remains committed to conducting a comprehensive and transparent investigation. “The FCT Police Command prides itself on its professionalism and integrity in investigative processes and would never malign its name with unethical practices or any actions that compromise the trust of the public it serves,” said SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer.
SP Adeh further reassured the public that safety and justice for victims remain the top priority. “We ask for the public’s understanding as we work diligently to bring clarity to this situation. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses,” she said.
The case continues to draw public interest, but the police urge caution in spreading unverified information as they work to bring the case to a fair conclusion.
For now, the police have not confirmed any arrests, and the investigation remains active. Further developments are expected in the coming days.
