Kemi Badenoch, the Nigerian-British leader of the Conservative Party, has made a striking declaration about her approach to immigration, promising to overhaul the current system and address long-standing issues with honesty and pragmatism.
“The system is broken. We can’t go on like this. We need to change,” Badenoch asserted in her statement.
Badenoch, whose own heritage reflects the diversity of modern Britain, emphasized the importance of integration and shared identity.
“When people come here, they must buy into the values, customs, and institutions that attracted them here in the first place,” she said, stressing that unchecked immigration without integration risks eroding the social fabric.

“The political class has glossed over this issue or treated it as a fringe concern, and that has to stop,” she added.

“Limited immigration can work for this country when done right,” Badenoch stated, outlining her vision for a balanced and sustainable policy.
She promised that the Conservatives would present a clear, actionable plan to significantly reduce immigration levels, contrasting it with Labour’s approach, which she criticized as ineffective.
As the daughter of Nigerian immigrants, Badenoch brings a unique perspective to the debate, combining a personal understanding of immigration with a commitment to fostering national unity.
