BIRNIN-KEBBI – The inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu .E. has ordered the immediate reassigning of all state criminal investigation units police officers to other formations ,Commands including training schools across the country.
Kebbi Command Police image maker,SP Nafiu Abubakar, in a statement stated that the reassigning of the SCIB units officers aims to improve intelligence gathering to reposition the units for effective and modern methods of investigations base on global standards.
The IGP,as part of efforts to improve proper investigation tactics in accordance with administration of criminal justice of 2015 and Police act of 2020 ordered the CIB units of Kebbi Command be sanitised and reassign immediately.
He further said that the redeployments of the officers is to improve professionalism in policing that will align with modern Police duties even as he hinted on retraining of investigative Police officers through workshops in order to get the required expertise in intelligence gathering for the improvement of internal security apparatus across the country.
