Football Scout, Attai Udia, Becomes 13th President Of Rotary Club, Festac Central

The Rotary Club of Festac Central has installed ace Sports Scout, Attai Udia as the 13th rotary president at the installation ceremony, held at the Rockview Hotel, Festac on Saturday. 

A University of Lagos Alumni, Udia, has been a rotarian for over two decades, and nominated to attend the rotary youth leadership award , where he was crowned the Mr. Ryla of the year. 

Udia, whose magic service project of the year includes renovation of toilets across schools in Festac Town, installation of solar lights at the rotary monument site on the Festac link bridge, book donations to schools and giving awards to six best outstanding pupils in Amuwo Odofin Local Government, others includes, Rotary Festac Football Competition to discover talents across Festac Town, Prisons and Ages home outreach, donation of delivery kits to expectant mothers at Amuwo Odofin and many more. 

Speaking at his installation ceremony, Attai Udia acknowledged the support received from the board and members of the club and noted that he is determined to sustain and expand the club’s impact as President. 

“Our goals for the year are audacious, yet achievable. We won’t relent, but keep working to make sure all our magic service projects are done. 

“Let me also take this opportunity to acknowledge the tremendous and adorable initiatives that were undertaken under the previous group leaders, without them, we wouldn’t have gotten here. “We shall keep the unique flag flying

The event also afforded the club the opportunity of presenting honorary membership as well as bestowing awards of recognition for commitment to humanitarian services to eminent personalities, including, former House of Representative Member, Hon. Ayodeji Joseph, who was the Chairman of the Occasion, Business Mogul and Sports Philanthropist, Chief Kunle Soname, Former Super Eagles Striker, Victor Ikpeba, Top Football Agents, Mohammed Babawo Adamu and Paul Ojo, Dominion Hotspur Owner, Retired Matron and Mother of Attai Udia, Mrs Emeh Basset Udia, Mr. Emmanuel Udeogu, Smart City Football Club CEO, Mr. Anthony Adeboye, Kwara United Team Manager, Mr. Bashir Badawiy.

Others include,  Lagos State FA Vice Chairman, Mr. Dotun Coker, Fashion Entrepreneur and Actress, Mrs. Nkiru Umeh, Businesswomen, Mrs Ngozika Mariam and Mrs Nkiru Okwuoha.
