LAGOS – INEC National Commissioner for Edo, Prof. Rhoda Gumus, pledges to refuse bribes during the upcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

Gumus made this declaration during a conversation on Channels TV’s Politics Today.

She confidently stated that no one would even think to offer her a bribe due to her reputation.

Additionally, the INEC Commissioner mentioned that voter accreditation would commence at 8 am, emphasizing that while voting was scheduled to conclude at 2 pm, every accredited individual would have the opportunity to cast their vote.

She vowed that the Edo governorship election would be the most excellently organized by INEC.

Gumus confidently stated, “I am the boss in Edo. I aim to follow the correct path, even though I can’t be everywhere. We will run this election in a fair, transparent, and credible manner. No amount of money can sway me. I don’t need to be bribed to do what’s right.

“In any position you hold in this country, they are aware of your integrity. Once they know, they won’t even try. If I catch wind of it, I won’t tolerate it.”
