Heavy Security has been significantly increased at the Edo office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,  as they begin tallying the results for the Saturday governorship election.

Reports from the News Agency of Nigeria indicate that roadblocks were set up 500 meters away on all roads leading to the office by Nigerian Army personnel.

The roads leading to the office were blocked for vehicles, and only authorized individuals were granted entry.

The people underwent extensive screenings by Nigerian Police officers and military personnel at the venue.

INEC declared that the coalition of results from the 18 local governments in the state would commence at 10 am on Sunday.
