Dikko Promises To Strengthen Institutions Of Governance In Katsina

KATSINA: Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina state has assured that institutions of Governance would continue to be strengthened for purposeful leadership in the state.

Radda made the remarks in a message to a Dinner and Awards Night organized by a Committee of Friends for nine individuals who secured various elevations at both state and federal levels held at the conference hall of Katsina State secretariat complex.

The Governor represented by the state Head of civil service, Alhaji Falalu Bawale noted that the present administration had so far work assiduously to add value to the well being of people through improving the socioeconomic sectors of the state.

He commended the foresight of their friends for organizing the event to rejoice with those who attained exalted positions as either permanent secretaries in the state civil service, promotions in federal establishments, and securing traditional chieftaincy titles.

Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar, the state Chief Judge and Chairman of the occasion, in his remarks, spoke at length on the benefits of retaining bonds of friendship.

He gave religious connotations to the dinner otherwise referred to as Walima in Islam, adding that the committee of friends needed to be appreciated for the effort.

The chairman of the organising committee and former permanent secretary, Alhaji Mannir Ibrahim Talba told the gathering that the event was meant to honour childhood friends that were promoted to various positions.

Alhaji Mannir Talba revealed that the dinner night was not the first of its kind, saying that they would continue to cement the bond of fraternity among themselves.

Those honored include, Governor Dikko Umar Radda, the chief of staff, Alhaji Jabiru Tsauri, and the head of civil service, Alhaji Falalu Bawale.

Others are the permanent secretary for Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Ibrahim Mu’azu Saka, the permanent secretary for Commerce, Alhaji Ahmed Hassan Mashi, and the permanent secretary in the office of Head of the civil service.

The rest are the Ambassador for peace in the UN, Alhaji Muntari Yusuf, a controller of custom and that of Immigration as well as former General manager of Rural Electricity Board,Alhaji Abdullahi Bala Tanwa who secured a chieftaincy title in Rimi District.
