Nigerian Afrobeats superstar , David Adeleke, better known as Davido,who has cautioned Black Americans about the increasing interest in moving to Africa.
Davido voiced doubts about the trend in an interview with the podcast “The Big Homies House,” pointing to the continent’s present problems, especially in Nigeria, where he is from.
When the host of the broadcast asked if Black Americans wanted to go back to their homeland, Davido said, “Leave America and go where?” He emphasized the systemic problems and economic challenges facing African nations.
Speaking further from experience as someone raised in Nigeria after being born in Atlanta, Georgia, the singer added, “It’s not cool back home…The economy now is in shambles.”
