Cleric tasks health experts on empathy, holds miracle mantle crusade

An American pastor, Lincoln Wentworth Lawson,  has appealed to doctors and other health workers across the globe to show empathy to patients who may not have resources to seek medical care. 

The cleric stated this while speaking with journalists ahead of a programme tagged “Miracle Mantle Crusade” holding at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Friday, October 18, 2024.

Pastor Lawson said his mission to Nigeria was to use his God-given gift to heal those with health challenges such as cancer, autism, diabetes among others 

He said, ‘”Nigeria is a special place, that informs my choice of coming to Nigeria for the healing crusade. Nigerians are lovers of worship and praises to God. So it is easy for someone who loves God to get healed than those who don’t love God. In America, for instance, the first thing they care about is medicine, chemotherapy, and dialysis and so on.”

On the challenges he faced as man of God who heals, the cleric said most health workers are only after making profit, instead of saving and touching lives.  

“The life of Lincoln Lawson is one marked by a profound transformation—from a successful Hollywood actor to a spiritual healer known as the “Miracle Missionary.” 

“Lawson once graced television screens with roles in popular shows like ‘The Sopranos’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘The West Wing’, and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, along with appearances in commercials for major brands such as Burger King, Nike, and Volkswagen. However, despite his outward success, an inner emptiness persisted, prompting a search for deeper meaning beyond the glamour of the entertainment industry.”

“In his quest to fill this void, Lawson withdrew from the spotlight and ventured into the solitude of the woods in Huntsville, North Carolina. There, he sought the face of God, immersing himself in years of dedicated prayer and meditation, often for up to eight hours a day,” he said.
