The House called on the Benue State Planning Commission to consult with public entities before any budget was to be revised to get their input and urged the Ministry of Finance to ensure prompt release of budgetary approvals to MDAs for improved performance in their operations.

Earlier in a lead debate, the Chairman House Standing Committee on Appropriation, Rt. Hon. Cephas Dyako, while presenting the focus of the committee, said there was an extra-budgetary expenditure and overhead cost by the public entity.

He noted that most MDAs performed poorly due to non-release of funds.

The Clerk of the House, Mr Bernard Nule, accordingly read the bill for the third time and the Speaker, Chief Hyacinth Aondoana Dajoh, announced the passage of the bill into law.
