Bago hails Zainab Kure @65, says Niger youths benefit from ‘Project  Yes’

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state has saluted the former first lady of Niger state, Senator Zainab Abdulkadir Kure on her 65th birthday, expressing appreciation for her legacy youth empowerment pet project,  “Project Yes” which had empowered millions of youths in the state. 

Senator Zainab, wife of  the late Engr. Abdulkadir Kure served as the first lady of the state from 1999 to 2007 before her election into the National Assembly to represent Niger South senatorial district. 

Governor Bago in a birthday message by his chief press secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, showered encomiums on Sen. Zainab Abdulkadir Kure, describing her as an intelligent, outspoken, vibrant and courageous personality.

He said, “We recall with appreciation how the celebrant empowered millions of youths of the state through her pet project code named “Project YES” when she was the first lady of Niger state, and also the several intervention schemes she provided to the people of Niger South, when she served them at the Senate”.

The governor described the celebrant as a good leader and a wonderful in-law whom God has blessed him with.

He appreciates God for making it possible for the celebrant to attain a remarkable age in life, adding that, “she has no doubt written her name in the sands of time.”
