Army Commander Advocates Enhanced Interagency Cooperation In Lagos

Brigadier General Olawale Matthew Oyekola, Commander of the 9th Brigade of the Nigerian Army has visited the Lagos State Taskforce headquarters to emphasize the importance of collaboration between agencies for improved security in Lagos.

General Oyekola and his delegation were warmly received by CSP Adetayo Akerele, Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, and other senior officials. The visit aimed to bolster cooperation between the Nigerian Army and the Taskforce, ensuring the safety of Lagos residents.

In his remarks, Brigadier General Oyekola commended CSP Akerele on the Taskforce’s significant progress in maintaining order on Lagos roads and enhancing overall security. He pledged the Army’s support for the Taskforce’s efforts whenever needed.

The Lagos State Taskforce, led by CSP Adetayo Akerele, has been working to address environmental and special offences in the state. Recently, the Taskforce also visited the Lagos State Security Trust Fund to discuss security interventions and seek support for essential equipment.

General Oyekola remarked that the partnership between the Nigerian Army and the Lagos State Taskforce is crucial for maintaining security in the state. With continued collaboration and support, Lagos residents can look forward to improved safety and order.
